1. What are the factors influencing Chana prices over the time?
Production of the crop, rainfall and its distribution over the crop life, stocks present with stockists and the stocks-to-consumption ratio, the crop situation in other exporting countries viz., Canada, Australia, Myanmar, price of other major pulses like tur, yellow peas, green peas as there is high substitutability between pulses in India among the consumers, due to lack of free-flow of information, traders sentiments also play a major role in price determination, government rules and regulation regarding export and import polices.

2. What are the major months of price fluctuations for Chana?
As Chana is sown in Septmber-November and being mostly a rainfed crop, presowing and after sowing rains, any other adverse weather condition like frost, hail etc affect the yield of the crop. So, September to December remains the major months of price fluctuation.
