Mr. Dinesh Thakkar is the founder Chairman & Managing Director of the Angel Group of Companies. Born into a reputed business family, Mr. Thakkar ventured into the stock markets essentially to raise capital for his own independent enterprise. However, he recognized the opportunity offered by the stock markets to serve individual investors, and established the industrys first retail-focused stock-broking house in 1987. The visionary in him also ensured that Angel was the first broking firm to introduce the branch-concept as well as to adopt new technology for faster, more effective & affordable services to retail investors.

Valued for his understanding of the economy and the stock-markets, Mr. Thakkar is often sought out by the print and electronic media for his views on the trends in the markets as well as investment strategies.

A part of the senior management team since the Angel Groups inception, Mr. Lalit Thakkar is the motivating force behind Angels highly acclaimed Research team. His ability to produce views from technical as well as fundamental perspectives has provided impetus to building Angels strong market research team. Mr. Amit Majumdar directs the finance function as well as looks after operations for the group. A Chartered Accountant by qualification, he has rich experience in financial, consultancy and advisory services.

Mr. Majumdar has worked in the varied roles of financial controller, treasury manager and investment banker in the past, and has been associated with Rabo India Finance, Ambit Corporate Finance and Ernst & Young before joining the Angel Group.

Mr. Rajiv Phadke manages the two key functions of Human Resources & Corporate Communications for the Angel Group, and has actively contributed to the Groups growth over the last four years. Holding a major in Finance, he is a strategic thinker with expertise in the fields of corporate planning, international marketing, financial services, brand-building, HRD and quality management.

Mr. Phadke has rich industry experience of over 32 years, and has successfully led profit centers, SBUs and financial companies from concept to commissioning. He has been associated with Motilal Oswal Securities, Times Guaranty Financials, Nagarjuna Securities & Tata Exports Ltd. in the past. He is a speaker at various HR forums and business development programs, and is frequently featured on various electronic media as well.

Mr. Vinay Agrawal leads the Equities Broking business vertical at Angel, which comprises of Business Development, Operations and Product Development. He is actively involved in exploring ways to adopt technology for business enhancement, and manages the E-broking initiative at Angel.

A Chartered Accountant, Mr. Agrawal began his career with the Angel Group as a Business Consultant in finance and operations, and quickly rose to the position of Vice President, and then to Executive Director.

An MBA with specialization in finance, Mr. Nikhil Daxini has been instrumental in introducing the concept of professional marketing of broking services at Angel. His area of focus is Business Development, Risk Management and Operations.

Mr. Daxini is vastly experienced in the marketing of financial products and services, and has been associated with HDFC Bank Ltd. in the past.

A marketing professional and a British Chevening scholar from the London School of Economics, Mr. Hitungshu Debnath leads the distribution and Wealth Management businesses at the Angel Group, which includes the distribution of Insurance, mutual funds, IPOs, personal loans and other wealth management products..

Mr. Debnath has rich industry experience of over 18 years, and has been associated with Times Guaranty Financial Ltd., Fortress Financial Services Ltd., Alliance Capital Asset Management and HDFC Asset Management Ltd. in the past..

Mudit heads the advance analytics and strategic business intelligence initiatives at Angel. A multidisciplinary professional, with bachelors in Engineering degree & doctorate in Economics. He has more than 12 years experience in the area of strategy and business consulting.

Prior to Angel, he has worked with reputed consulting firms like Deloitte Consulting India, Ernst and Young and Arthur Andersen and WNS Global. He has advised several big clients in U.S and U.K across industries such as energy and consumer business. He has spoken at several public seminars and conferences organized by CII, NASSCOM, Indian School of Business and IITs. In addition, he has several publications in reputed peer reviewed international academic journals.

A top ranking FCA, FCS, AICWA and LLB, Mr. Adil Kasad heads Angel Group’s Finance function and plays a pivotal role in Core Strategy Planning, Budgetary Controls and Systems.

Mr. Kasad brings with him over 23 years of top management experience across Finance, Corporate Secretarial, Legal, Compliance and other general management functions in reputed organizations like A. F. Ferguson, Tatas, Jindal British Steel, Countrywide Financial and Accenture, where he was on the Board of Directors of their India group companies. Prior to joining Angel, his last assignment was as Executive Vice President & CFO of DCB Bank.

Mr. Kasad is also a member of the National CFO Guild of Senior Finance Professionals.

Mr. Syam brings with him over 18 years of rich mix experience in all facets of banking; Transaction Banking, Wholesale Banking, Treasury Banking, Consumer Banking & CBS. He started his career with ANZ Grindlays Bank prior to joining Angel. Mr. Syam was Director Transactional Banking at Standard Chartered Bank in India.

Mr. Syam holds a BE degree and MBA. He has also attended Banking & Technology seminar organised by SCB Singapore, BSE India & Euro Finance .

As Head of Technology for the Angel Group, Mr. Ketan Shah is involved in the designing of IT policies and Strategies. IT is not merely an enabler at Angel; it is a strategic function. Mr. Shah leads all of Angels IT-related activities from planning and budgeting to implementation and maintenance.

Mr. Shah has over 18 years of industry experience, and has been involved in various aspects of Business Operations in his previous assignments.

Ms. Pinky Kothari is responsible for development and expansion of the Angel Groups business in Southern India. She started her career at Angel as a Business Development Executive. She later headed the companys Surat branch and then the South Gujarat region, before assuming the role of Associate Director.

A qualified Company Secretary and an MBA in Finance, Ms. Kothari has vast experience in business development in the financial services industry.
